Clare Weze writes for both adults and children. She is a Northern Writers’ Award-winner (2016) and won 3rd in the Wells Festival of Literature short story prize (2017). Her work received a special mention in the Galley Beggar Press short story prize (2016), was longlisted in Fish Publishing’s short story contest (2016/17), and will appear in the forthcoming Bath Flash anthology. Her short fiction has been published by Bridge House Publishing and Curiosity Quills Press and her children’s fiction was shortlisted for the inaugural Commonword Children’s Diversity Writing Prize (2012). She enjoys collaborative writing and co-authored Cloudscapes over the Lune (2010) in aid of the children’s charities Make-A-Wish Foundation® and Rainbow Trust. 2018 will see the launch of another collaboration, this time with musicians Nino’s Blue Saloon as they release an album featuring a story drawn from their songs and embedded in the album’s artwork.
