Marcia Hutchinson
After a law degree at Oxford University Marcia practised as a solicitor in The City before setting up Primary Colours an educational publishing company. She was awarded an MBE for services to cultural diversity in 2011. After being active in politics and elected as a labour councillor in Manchester in 2021, she is now a full-time writer her first (co-written) novel The Blackbirds of St Giles has been bought by Simon and Schuster for publication in 2025 and she’s hard at work on her second novel.
