It’s Alive! Frankenscience of Poetry event part of Manchester Science Festival 2014
Working with film-maker Hafsah Naib, poets Sarah Hymas and Helen Clare, young people have engineered their own weird and wonderful science-inspired ‘filmpoems’.

We screened these haunting, hybrid new works, alongside scintillating spoken word by the renowned Young Identity poets with a talk by Professor Jane Gregory from Centre for the History of Science, Medicine and technology (University of Manchester) and scientific poetry from the participants and Helen Clare!

Funding for The Frankenscience of Poetry has been provided by the Clore Duffield Foundation through its Clore Poetry and Literature Awards.
