Kanta Walker is a writer and fine artist of Indian, Punjabi origin and lives and paints full time in Cumbria. Her artistic career started in the late 80’s around Manchester and in the past decade her work has matured and has been widely noted.

She paints landscapes, wildlife, and figurative work in her inimitable style. Her style is noted for its brilliant hues, lyrical quality, magical and dreamy landscapes. Even mundane, everyday objects are made special through Sundar’s visual perceptions. She paints largely in oils, but also acrylics, tempera, gouache and inks. Her large canvasses are larger than life and suit public buildings and palatial homes.

The significant influences that are expressed in her style are both Western European and Eastern with echoes of the middle-eastern deserts and landscapes. Her style is eclectic and very much her own.
