Julian is a stand up comedian , comic poet and  author of ‘How to Dump Your Girlfriend’. Julian was a quiet unassuming young man when he first came to Commonword.  He developed as a comedian, using witty comedic poems that raised big laughs.  He became a member of the poetry collective, Brothatalk which Commonword developed and promoted to national level.  Julian has since become one of the North West’s most sought after hosts for North West poetry events, as well as a published author and frequent radio show presenter and guest.  He is the regular host of spokenword/music night Speakeasy.  He has taken his spokenword/comedy to theatres, comedy clubs, libraries, art galleries, youth groups, prisons, schools, shopping centres and across the world wide web.  He has performed alongside comedians such as Curtis Walker and Justin Moorhouse at the Comedy Store M’cr and poet Lemn Sissay at the Battersea Arts Centre. He has compered the Main Stage (Unity Festival) and was a guest host for the Dead Good Poetry Society (Liverpool). Julian also facilitates writing workshops,  running sessions in the Roald Dahl Museum and for the BBC.
