Love vs Lust 2007

What makes a perfect relationship: the slow-burner of love or the fast fury of lust?

Battling its way around the region, Commonword’s slam poet group toured Oldham, Chester, Salford and Wigan, the two teams of poets taking position to lyrically joust it out in a bid to win the debate.

Hosted by the hilarious Julian Daniel, in this evening of pure entertainment the lyrical lovers and lotharios aimed their words straight at your heart, stopping at nothing to win the audience’s affections. Exploring the ins-and-outs of the cosy stability of love and the red-hot right-now of lust, each team battled to convince that they knew best when it comes to satisfaction.

The mighty line-up of poets on the night were: Abi Idowu, Chanje Kunda, Frisko, Helen Clare, Martin Stannage, Michelle Green and Tony Walsh. Host and go-between is the hilarious Julian Daniel.
