As part of Ghosts a series of workshops were run with young people by Project Cuts in Moss Side and Clear Music in Stockport, with the aim of introducing the young people to the music and history of the clubs and encouraging them to produce tracks of their own inspired by what they learnt.

Project Cuts is a Manchester based Music Service Provider, providing music workshops and accredited music packages suitable for alternative youth based learning. Based in Stockport, tutor Kevin Burke has been teaching Drums, Bass, Guitar and Music Technology for over 10 years and has over 20 years experience working in the music industry. He has worked professionally as a musician, session drummer, live sound technician, drum technician, recording studio manager, songwriter, producer and remixer.

Clear Music Tuition has a wide range of learners, from beginners to experienced songwriters. Tutoring is available one-to-one or in larger groups, with lessons tailored to meet the specific needs and personal goals of the learner, whether through musical notation or through learning by example.

Clear Music Tuition is registered with the National Open College Network (NOCN) and can provide tuition and assessment in a range of NOCN qualifications, Levels 1 – 3. They also offer lessons following the “Rock School” series of books and prepare tutees for the appropriate exams.
