Winston Plowes composes his poetry with his two cats on a narrowboat in Hebden Bridge. He hopes to make people pause and ponder the hidden details of life. He has recently enjoyed correspondence with World Trade Centre architect Daniel Libeskind and ceramicist Gordon Baldwin after writing about their work; and with the local butcher who enjoyed his poem ‘A sonnet to bacon’ and slipped an extra rasher into his order. His collection of ghazals First of all I Wrote Your Name will be published by Stairwell Books in 2013. www.winstonplowes.co.uk
