Sophie Hannah is a best selling poet, a novelist, and a regular performer of her own work. Her first collection of short stories, We All Say What We Want, will be published by Sort Of Books in 2007. Her psychological suspense story, The Octopus Nest won first prize in the 2005 Daphne Du Maurier Festival Short Story Competition, and in April 2006, Hodder published her first crime novel, Little Face. Sophie’s latest poetry collection, First of the Last Chances, was chosen for the Poetry Society’s Next Generation promotion, recognising her as one of the best poets to emerge in the last ten years. She lives in Bingley, West Yorkshire.
