Joan Ncube is a twenty year old Manchester-based poet who has been a member of Young Identity for four years and of Sanctum for a year. She helps facilitate Young Identity workshops in Abraham Moss Library.  A student of Advertising and Brand Management in Manchester, Joan has performed at Royal Exchange Theatre, South Bank and Park Life ’10, and was part of a group of young poets who shared a stage with the legendary Amiri Baraka as part of Manchester Literature Festival 2012. Joan was Assistant Director in the short film, Selective and has been part of other creative projects.  She recently took up knitting as a hobby.
