Maggie regularly contributes short stories, articles and reviews to local and national publications. Her short story was published by Crocus books in Migration Stories. Competition successes include twice winning a free place at the annual Writers’ Summer School in Swanwick and a Weekend Rover pass to the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate. She has  series of e-Books; three collections of short stories – Anyone For Murder? , Had We But World Enough and Swings and Roundabouts. She taught modern languages and EFL in the UK and abroad, and now works as a supporting artist on Emmerdale. She gives talks on her television work, which has also included appearances as a television extra  on Heartbeat, The Royal, A Touch of Frost, The Final Quest and The Weakest Link, and on various aspects of writing.
